What does it mean to be a graduate of Excelia Group from the point of view of international accreditations?

What international accreditations has the School?

The School currently has one of the so-called international triple crown accreditations – AACSB (the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business).  The other two are EQUIS and AMBA.  EQUIS is a school level accreditation granted by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) and the Association of MBAs (AMBA) is a programme level accreditation designed for MBAs or Masters in Business Management (MBMs), such as our Masters Grande Ecole.   The School is currently in the process pursuing the EQUIS and AMBA accreditations and aims to have these two, to have the triple crown within the next 18 months.   It means the School must continue its efforts to drive and improve quality through its teaching, research, programme content, student selection and support for their career placement.

What about the role of its graduates in all of this?  To be successful in these accreditations the School needs to be highly regarded by its graduates.  One of the measures used to determine if the School is highly regarded is the response rate in the graduate placement surveys and the opinions given by graduates to the rankings especially high profile ranking such as the Financial Times rankings of Masters in Management.

Accessing the network of the triple crown accredited schools, what will it means for me as a graduate?

International accreditation will bring our graduates two things – recognition and networks.   For example, through AMBA, the entire global network of MBA students and alumni will be within reach, helping you forge new connections and business partnerships. With free events to meet future business leaders from AMBA-accredited programmes who wish to meet and exchange insights with like-minded peers, build their professional networks and hear from business leaders, academics and thought-leaders

As an AMBA accredited School, you will have access to their Career Development Centre, where you will find e-learning tools and guidance to help you with your employability.  The Career Development Centre also as a Jobs portal, updated daily with relevant jobs to help you make the most of your qualification.

EFMD have also a jobs portal (accessible to graduates thanks to the EFMD EPAS accreditation on the two programmes MGE and BBA International). https://efmdglobal.org/highered/

AACSB research show that many top, global corporations only recruit from AACSB-accredited schools, AACSB-accredited school graduates are offered better, more competitive salaries, and students at AACSB-accredited schools have more employers that are interested in them after graduation.

How can you as a graduate support the ambitions of the School to improve quality and become a Triple Crown Accredited school?

Engage with the School, reply to the graduate placement surveys as fully as possible and tell the rankings (for example the Financial Times rankings) about the strengths of the School and all that you appreciate that supports your current career.  Your opinion counts!  Finally give your ideas for continuous improvement to the Alumni Association so that the School can continually improve.
